This pogram was restoring the lives of drug addicts and helping them to reintegrate into family and society. It also served the improvement of the general health conditions of drug users, the reduction of drug demand, and awareness creation for users and communities about the dangers of drug abuse.
It provided basic medical and surgical services, health education, pharmacy and laboratory services in a very needy area with limited health care access in Jalalabad city of Nangarhar province (January 2005 to December 2007).
It was established to restore the lives of drug addicts and to help them reintegrate into their family and society. We also wanted to improve the general health conditions of the drug users by reducing the drug demand and raise the awareness of users and communities about the dangers of drug abuse.
