The Waresa-e-Faqeer School is the second DARMAN school in the Kama district (the first one was handed over to the Government in 2011). It was established in 2003 and is currently serving close to 500 children.
From the beginning, the school annually added another class, so that since 2009 it goes upto class 6 and thereby students graduate from Primary School.
The school offers co-education for boys and girls, which represents a major progress especially in an Afghan rural area, where girls rarely attend and even complete school education. It has greatly enhanced the prospect for jobs and the general economic situation of the population.
DARMAN is seeking support and funding to keep the school going.
